Let me introduce myself

I'm a digital designer based in Amsterdam. In my work I try to move product and brand closer together. This has led me to explore all manner of techniques and processes.

Ideas

I rate this ability higher than any other. Not only is it the hardest to replace with an aesthetically adept robot – but I believe it presents the greatest business value. When I say 'Ideas' I mean a unifying thread that shapes an experience across every touch point. I don't draw a hardline between UX & UI and I believe the most creative medium is a 2H pencil.

Motion

I'm utterly addicted to the power of AE. When imagining what could be instead of what is — nothing else comes close. Since completing Motion design school’s UI Essentials course. I find my workflow can moves at the pace of my ideas. I’ve taken my first tentative steps into C4D via the lite version and its integration with AE.

Design

I'm fluent in Figma/sketch, personally I think the former has the edge. Creative suite is my original turf, I know these programs backwards.

Code

With HTML/CSS if i can design it I can code it. My code ability is encapsulated in this website β€” it is this website. When it comes to actual programming I tinker in (vanilla) javascript. I know enough to be dangerous β€” but not enough to scale. Yet. I'm fascinated by development, especially implementing motion and new interaction ideas. I see collaboration in this space as one of the best parts of the job.
