Digital currencies, simplified* — a vision to bring crypto currencies to the everyday person. To achieve this I created a brand identity that directly countered the preconceptions of crypto = complex. Working in a tight nit team of devs and UXers we created an intuitive, product experience that promised to simplify digital currencies.

A simple propositon

Creating a consumer brand for a tech industry I wanted the brand to immediately set the users mind at ease. With this in mind I took direct inspiration from consumer brands and began with a proposition that was accessible from the word go.

The goal of the visual language was first and fore most to present information clearly. Brand elements are paired back injecting dashes of personality, but not so much that they ever got in the way.

Trading can be a complicated business. By utilising an natural language approach with our product; we placed the details of trading in a more natural context.

We believed most users would access the service on mobile. Therefore the mantra 'if you can do it, you can do it on your phone' applied. All interactive elements were optimised to be at their best in this space critical environment.

With so many potential user situations a tightly controlled design system was integral to the maintainability of the product. Working in close collaboration with development I created systems that ensured components adapted seemlessly and that those systems were efficient to implement.
